Anderson - Philander

Philander Anderson, the father of A. B. Anderson of this city, died this morning at his home in Anthony, Kansas. He had been ill for but a few days of congestion of the liver and his condition was not considered dangerous until last night when he suffered a relapse. Mr. Anderson was formerly a resident of Zionsville, in Boone County, this state, and graduated from Wabash College in the class of ’49. he was until recently a banker in Anthony and was one of the prominent citizens of Kansas. He was a gentleman highly respected by all and a consistent Christian. - thanks to S.
